These grapes are grown in the hills above Clear Lake, where the hot afternoons give them depth while the cool nights preserve acidity and aromatics. Made with minimal intervention using stainless steel to preserve the delicacy of the wine and lees contact to add complexity, this Sauvy B stays lifted and refreshing with surprising depth. We love it with oysters on the half shell, herby roasted chicken, and of course, a tangy goat cheese salad.

Meet the maker
Rogelio Alvarado’s path to winemaking began far from Napa or Sonoma. After arriving from Michoacán, Mexico at 14, he spent three decades working every job in the cellar, rising to head winemaker roles at Asti, Fetzer, Beringer, and Blue Rock. Today he brings a French-inspired, minimal-intervention approach to Lake County fruit. Equal parts scientist and artist, Rogelio believes the best wines should feel precise, effortless, and honest.

Love it!
A lovely, refreshing Sauv Blanc which also has a good amount of body. I drink it from a glass at a proper temperature (let it warm up a bit after taking from a 37 degree fridge!). It’s really quite nice!

The Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious treat and is unlike your typical grassy Sauvignon Blanc one might find from New Zealand. The nose is aromatic and lovely, it has a well rounded mouth feel.
